The Government of Maharashtra started a drive to plant two crore saplings on Friday, July 1, 2016. Miss Aniketa Sawant created a WhatsApp group with more than 180 people from Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. Pickup spots for the bus were set up at areas like Teen Haath Naka, Mulund, and Kanjurmarg. The bus was almost packed — around 60 enthusiasts aboard. There were 13,000 saplings to plant, with schools and colleges from all over Mumbai taking part.
