Amritsar: A Kulchalicious trip
Visiting the Golden Temple of Amritsar was one of the top 10 places on my travel list. We started the trip with Dalhousie — there's not much to see there itself, but you can visit Khajjiar and Chamera Lake and enjoy the weather.
To get the real essence of the Golden Temple's beauty, visit it in both daylight and at dusk.
Around the Golden Temple
Walk the area near the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh — there are shops everywhere, and you'll definitely score a bargain. It's enchanting at night with lights all over the place. Buy sweets like china murki and jalebis from Gurdas Ram Jalebi Wale.
For foodies
Kulcha Land, near Amritsar airport, is famous for kulchas and lassis. Pick from Kesar Da Dhaba, Brothers, or Bharawan for lunch or dinner. Right next to Kulcha Land, there's a pan shop with some genuinely wild options — rasmalai pan and chocolate pan among them.
