Visiting the Golden Temple of Amritsar was one of the top 10 places in my travel list.

We had booked Ramada Hotel for around 2.5k pppr which was a best price through MakeMyTrip. To get the real essence of the beauty of the Golden temple, you must visit the temple in the daylight and dusk.

Things to do in around Golden Temple. You should walk around the area near the Golden temple and Jalian Wala Baug. There are shops all over the place where you will definitely score a bargain. It is enchanting at nights with lights all over the place. You can buy sweets like china murki and Jilebis from Gurdas Ram Jalebi wale. DO NOT BUY dresses from Sandeep Di Hatti or any hyped place. It is ridiculously expensive. The boutiques take orders and stitch Patiala, churidaars, cigarette pants etc. in a day.

For foodies:
Kulcha land which is near to the Amritsar airport is famous for Kulchas and Lassis. You can select Kesar Da Dhaba, Brothers and Bharawan for lunch/dinner. Next, to Kulchaland, there is a
pan shop. The shop offers some crazy options of pans like rasmalai pan and chocolate pan.
