Visa Details. There are bus shuttles from Bangkok airport. We were staying in the Ramada Hotel in Bangkok. It was one of the best and reasonably priced. We had booked Aspery hotel in Phuket and Marina Express Fisherman in Krabi.

You need hard cash for street shopping. We carried 500฿ cash with us. You can add Chiang Mai(North Thailand) in your itinerary instead of islands in case you do not wish to visit the islands. You can do both if you are staying for a week or more. Thailand is the king of street food offering thousands of varieties of food.

Places must visit in Bangkok:

Always check with the days and timings for markets. You must check this before planning your trip.
Take a ferry to Chinatown and spend half a day visiting the town.
Visit Siam Paragon, Platinum mall and MBK mall.
Ferry to Jim Thompson Museum.
Sky Train to Asiatique, a night market with Thailand's tallest Ferris wheel.
Big C, Thailand's second-largest hypermarket operator.
Patong Market, Neon Market, and Pratunam market.
Lumpini Park.
Chatuchak weekend market with more than 15,000 stalls.
Khao San for street food.
The Temple of the Dawn (Wat Arun) tower over the Chao Phraya River.

Things we bought: Inhalers, glasses, hair clips, duo eyeliner/pencil, coconut lip balm, miniature elephant figurine, sling bags, customized passport cover and magnets.

Fruits must try: Mangosteen, Rambutan and dragon fruit.

Things to do in Thailand:

Foot massage. You can bargain the price.
Make use of all public transports(Boat, Bus and Trains). Play around with Maps and explore places yourself. You can check with the bus numbers on maps plus the drivers and conductors are friendly too. The streets look lovely at nights.
