There is entry charge to visit Saint Chapelle. Saint Chapelle is worth visiting with the top floor full of tainted glass decor. |
Total cost from London for two: 494 Euros. Hotel Ibis Styles Paris Mairie de Montreuil, for the 2 nights stay in Paris(Complimentary French breakfast).
Book your Eurostar to Paris. Watch out for good deals in Eurostar to book the tickets.
3 days or weekend Paris itinerary:
Day 1: I recommend you to walk around the place on the first day. You can just explore Paris by walk without any tour. If you do not wish to spend too much money then you can avoid tour to the top of the Eifel tower. Instead, there are other cheaper options which can be as good as the view from Eifel tower with Eifel tower itself in the view. The Gare Du Nord station is itself very pretty. Spend your rest of the day in Louvre art museum which is a MUST for the world famous painting, Mona Lisa. You can spend nearly half a day at the museum as it is the world's largest museum. You need to book online to avoid standing and waiting hours in queue.
Day 2: Saint Chapelle, Trocadéro - The place from where you can get a perfect click of you with the Eifel, Musée d'Orsay, Conciergerie, Notre Dame Cathedral and Arc De Triomphe(rooftop view). Buy a magnet and a French cap if you like as souvenirs. Enjoy the local delicacy - Crêpe and Baguettes. Visit Champs-Élysées, to eat the famous Ladurée macaron and shop from the branded shops on the street which are near Arc De Triomphe.
Day 3: Metro to Lamarck and walk-in to the Sacré-Cœur basilica.
If you have a spare day, then you can plan a visit to Château de Versailles, which is bit far from the other places.
Tips:
- Museums are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- You can buy a 10 tickets pack for metro to visit the places in Paris.
- Learn some French words and sentences before visiting Paris. It is fun to learn the local language before visiting. So here's your first lesson - Profitez de votre voyage.
